  Well-distributed dosage

  Proton has the physical property of a Bragg peak, whereby its peak position is aligned with the tumor lesion. This results in high dosage and excellent efficacy.

  High accuracy

  Intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) combines 3-D spatial distribution of radiation dosage with the 3-D space of tumor lesion to reduce the radiation exposure to the normal tissues around the tumor. For the tumor surrounded by vital organs and tissues, other therapies are helpless, while proton therapy presents great superiority.

  Strong penetrability

  The proton beam enters the body at high velocity to ensure strong penetrability, and the energy can be controlled and modulated freely, allowing the beam reaching any depth in the human tissue to treat the deep tumor.

  For patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma or prostate cancer, the two-year survival rate is >96%

  Little side effect

  Normal tissues in front of the tumor receive only one-sixth to one-third the maximum dosage, while those behind the tumor or to the side receive barely any. Thus, there is a low rate of complication and second primarytumor. The risk that X-ray therapy will induce second primary tumor is 12 times that of the proton therapy.

  High life quality

  It enhances the local control of the tumor, with extremely low harm to surrounding normal tissues, nerves and organs due to proper protection, thus improving the patient's quality of life (QOL).

Preparation of Patient Data

• Hospital medical records

  The records include inpatient medical records, laboratory, inspection reports, pathological reports, gene-detection reports, records of treatments during hospitalization, operation and/or biopsy records and discharge summary.

• Pathology result

  Stained pathological sections and more than 20 unstained sections, gene detection results, excised specimen, punctured specimen, and tissue block with multiple tumor cells.

• Image data

  For example, X-ray, CT, MRI, PET-CT photographs or CD, bone scanning films. The imaging departments in China tend to record different dates of birth for the same patient. (Please be sure to correct these dates if needed!)

• Treatment records

  Radiotherapy record (including start time, radiotherapy mode, border of target area, type of ray and dosage), chemotherapy record (including duration of weekly chemotherapy, drug name and dosage)

• Current medications

  The name, dosage and usage of the current medication
